When you’re an entrepreneur you receive advice from every quarter, but what matters most when making your pitch? In this 2-hour PitchCamp session entrepreneurs will learn from investors and each other what to do and what not to do when pitching their business model.
When is PitchCamp?
Saturday October 2, 2010 from 9:00am-11:45am
Coordinated by John Cass from Pace Communications, this 2-hour session will introduce entrepreneurs to Venture Capitalists in an interactive and fun series of events toward the goal of learning how to “pitch” your ideas to VCs.

Brian Johnson of Microsoft’s BizSpark
Investor & start-up advice panel discussion. The panel will give their advice and tips on how to pitch for money. Moderated by John Cass, this panel discussion will give start-ups the ideas on how to build a business model and plan that produces results.

Featured Company: Group Story is a start-up photo sharing social network, members of a group join Group Story, share photos privately, collaborate and build a customized book together.
George Junginger & Geoff Hamrick, Co- Founders of GroupStory, will be giving a 10 minute pitch to PitchCamp and our expert panel will provide advice and a critique of Group Story’s pitch and business model.
Featured Company: Michael Raeford of the 7ToughGroup, who develop cloud-based streaming solutions that mitigate issues related to accessing media and applications across different devices & platforms and is based in Raleigh/Durham, Los Angeles
Several entrepreneurs will talk about their experiences running a company, putting a business plan together and how to pitch.
Start-up Panel Members:
Eric Boggs, Founder of ArgyleSocial, a software-as-a-service social media marketing platform that helps marketers measure and optimize the social channel, will be joining the entrepreneurs’ panel at PitchCamp on Saturday morning for the training session on how start-up’s pitch and build a successful business model.
Collaborative PitchCamp Game:
Investors and entrepreneurs will split into several teams, and each team will take 20 minutes on one important factor of how to pitch for investment. The team will report back to the whole group on their experiences and findings.
